What we’re about
OUR VISION
We’re a collective of local organisations and community members working together in Woolloomooloo.
‘We’re building a thriving, supportive and self-sufficient community, where all people feel safe, included, and connected.’
Who we are
The Woolloomooloo Connection is made up of local individuals and organisations in Woolloomooloo. It takes collaborative effort to influence change,
so we thank every person and organisation that make our collective.
How we got started
There’s a strong ethos of collaboration in Woolloomooloo.
In 2020, HopeStreet built on this by hosting Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) training workshops, which were open to all Woolloomooloo residents and workers. These monthly community meetings are ongoing and new people are always welcome to get involved. One idea we discussed during a meeting was to create a local website - so organisations could let the community know what they were up to, and the community could stay informed. This website is a work-in progress and we welcome your feedback.
